Analysis: Lich Lord Asphyxious

There are certain casters that are known to be "top tier", the best of the best, feared when they're set down on opposite side of the table.  Epic Haley, Epic Morvahna, Harbinger, and Epic Lylyth are the ones that come to mind for me.  And, of course, Epic Asphyxious.

But if you're newer to the game, you might be wondering why?  What makes some of these casters so good?  In this episode of Analysis, we're going to be going a deep dive into Lich Lord Asphyxious and attempt to show some of the tricks that make him such a dangerous opponent.

Analysis: Midas

Greed, ferocity, and cunning are virtues esteemed by farrow, and Midas lacks for none of these. A potent bone grinder, he is empowered by lives stolen and feasted upon. The energies released in death are weapons and tools for Midas, who consumes his foes to gain their powers and knowledge. At his command, the bones of fallen beasts become animate and dead flesh rises to fight again.

In this episode of Analysis, I'm going to be taking an in-depth look at one of the best things to come out of the Gargantuans book: Midas.  He's not the most powerful warlock in the book, but he's certainly got flavor (insert pigs/bacon joke) and a lot more funny business available to him than you might think at first glance.

Analysis: Drake MacBain

Some mercenaries fight for a lost home, for revenge, for adventure.  Drake MacBain fights for coin.  No mission too dangerous, no battlefield too bloody, he'll work for any of the warring nations of the Iron Kingdoms without moral qualm.  MacBain fights with the gritty determination of the hired professional and will let nothing stop him from the completion of his contracts.  He is the consummate mercenary and has the tools to finish any job.

And he has the best mustache in the Iron Kingdoms (no offense to Nemo or Kara Sloan).

In this episode of Analysis, I'm going to be taking an in-depth look into one of the mercenary casters that I'll be playing in this league (completely ignoring my previous post dedicating this year to Skorne).

Analysis: Mortitheurge Willbreaker

Masters of the powers of death and agony, the mortitheurges known as willbreakers can influence the mind of an enemy soldier as easily as they can control the great beasts of the skorne war host. A soldier who faces a willbreaker knows the roiling fear of uncertainty, that his own weapons might be turned against his friends and allies or he might be forced to lay down arms and placidly accept the blows of the enemy. Few things can terrify a warrior more than the stark realization that his fate is not his own.
